When she was good, she was very very good...

Yesterday I found myself sniffing a biscuit.

It is appalling I know.

I have not had a biscuit for eight days. I feel amazed. And I am a bit lighter too. (Only a bit, do not worry.)

And I have given up drinking on week nights! Unless I go out. Like last night.

I am concerned with my good behaviour.

It is most unlike me.

yes, there seems to be a wave of Puritanism sweeping across the nation, which automatically makes me want to be bad. You can be sure that as soon as Lent is over there will be people talking with chocolate-smeared mouths crammed full of biscuits, and the streets will be littered with their empty packaging... the swines!

I blame Lent.

Everyone around me seems to be giving something up but no-one I know is all that religious. It's queer, I tell you.

Edvard: MMM. Chocolate smeared...

Franglaise: Hello! Yes. Lent. I think it is the same as New Year - just another impetus type giving thing. Except New Year is far too depressing to give up biscuits.

FB: It is queer. And I am one of those queeries. That is a word I have just made up.

Carolione: (I haven't given up chocolate or ice cream though. Ha!)

JALG: Oh if only I could be naughty at night. But I am a married lady. *sniffs haughtily*
