No. From where I'm standing, he's the lucky one. I love the smell of curry.
That came out sounding downright weird.
In my previous life working in popular-science-telly I once met someone who was developing a "smellovision" system for digital TV / internet / computer gaming. Much as your computer screen is showing this image just by modifying the colour of millions of little dots, this system was going to be constantly altering the level of thousands of individual scents pumping out into your available air.
They were even working on a "recording" system that could capture the appropriate aromas in real time for, as an example, a Delia cake-baking show.
Reading your post, I am very glad it has not yet taken off.
